Cancellation
You can now cancel a spambox if it starts receiving useless spamLifetime extension
You can extend the lifetime of a spambox as long as it’s not expired yet

Good stuff, but why isn’t it possible to revive a spambox? I’d so love to do that right now because I registered for two pages with my spambox account and have now lost my user id and password…

Doesn’t the way the two new features have been put in place pose a risk?
anyone who has been given you’re spambox e-mail address can cancel it or extend it without you’re knowledge.
Don’t get me wrong, the features are excellent, and so is the service, but a better way would be to have the person choose a password when they create the address. (this would then be required to do this…!?
edit by webmaster: actually, the service sends a confirmation e-mail to the forwarded address to make sure the user asked for this cancellation. The e-mail is canceled only when the user clicks on the link in the e-mail. Same behavior for the extend feature. Try by yourself !

The addon is based on your service, so i think that if you get his/her permission and develop the little plugin..to support more than 12hrs, it would be really nice.

I just developed a Firefox plugin to use spambox.us, based on a plugin for another temporary e-mail service
It appears in the right click popup when you click in a text area
It supports the following lifetimes : 30mins, 1hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year
You can save up to 5 preferred emails
There is a quick spambox mode
I only tested it on firefox 2.0.0.4 / linux ubuntu edgy

this is a great service, i really appreciate its availability. the only thing i would like to see is the ability to revive, as mentioned in the third comment above. i suspect lots of people will make the mistake of letting boxes expire and then realizing they need them back! please fast-track this feature and i will extend my adulation

Hi all, I noticed this the other day as well as today, but seems as if emails are not going through. I sent myself in email to verify this and have not received it. Is there a way to know if the site is properly functioning or not? Maybe a status indicator would be a good feature.
